There’s still a wait for upcoming releases like The Summer Hikaru Died, but you can watch fantasy, action, comedy and more new arrivals in the meantime. Among them is Solo Leveling, Castlevania: Nocturne and more Blue Exorcist.

Solo Leveling’s stylish animation isn’t the only reason to watch the action fantasy series when it arrives on Jan. 4. Sung Jin-woo spent season 1 learning to master his abilities, and is now a powerful necromancer. The new season takes viewers back into the dungeons and Jeju Island, where horrors abound. Follow Jinwoo’s story and mission to acquire the elixir of life along with the series’ lineup of hunters, healers and monsters.

Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World

Season 3 continues on Feb. 5 after a short hiatus, with Subaru’s fate up in the air after getting a win last season. He’s in chill mode while Emilia and her crew get ready for the royal selection. Their plans change and they head for the city of Priestella, and things are turned upside for Subaru when they all set out for the trip. Stream on Crunchyroll.

Castlevania: Nocturne season 2

Netflix’s Castlevania spinoff is back and teams Alucard with Richter and his vampire hunters in the hopes of stopping Erzsebet from gaining all the power from the goddess Sekhmet. Fans will follow the story through France and, at some point, into Egypt in this next harrowing quest. Tune in for action, blood and more on Jan. 16 on Netflix.

Taro Sakamoto has been enjoying the soft life with his family when he is forced to come out of retirement as a hitman. Old adversaries pop up and pose a threat to him and his loved ones, but his skills have not dulled at all. Watch the series on Netflix on Jan. 11.

Blue Exorcist – The Blue Night Saga

Prepare for the Blue Night Saga arc when Blue Exorcist returns in January with one of its most tragic storylines. Delve into the past during the Blue Night, when Satan possessed monks and other humans while seeking a vessel. Death and trauma ensued, and this event is intricately tied to the exorcists and, in particular, Yuri. Watch on Crunchyroll when it debuts Jan. 4.

The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World

Though Togo Asagaki died in battle, he is resurrected in a new land, where he becomes Kizuna Red, and keeps fighting for justice and those in need. The series premieres on Crunchyroll on Jan. 12.

The Apothecary Diaries up the ante with the palace intrigue in season 2 of the series, featuring Maomao as a master of medicine and poison taster. The new installment introduces a new concubine and a threat to Jinshi, as a large conspiracy looms over the empire. Stream it on Crunchyroll starting Jan. 10.

Sora-Iro Utility

Streaming exclusively on HiDive, the golf-themed comedy follows Minami Aoba, a schoolgirl who’s in search of a way to achieve something meaningful. She finds just that when she has her first experience with golf, and bonds with Haruka Akane and Ayaka Hoshimi, who get her up to speed. Watch the slice-of-life series beginning Jan. 3 at 12 p.m. ET on HiDive.

Dr. Stone Science Future

Everyone’s favorite science geniuses are back to fight for humanity. Following the events on Treasure Island, Senku and crew must visit the Kingdom of Science and the Americas before they can journey to the Moon. Buckle in for a spaced-out trip when the season hits on Crunchyroll on Jan. 9.

Zenshu

Anime fans are intrigued by the premise of Zenshu, which shows the life of a newbie animator in an industry that has a reputation of being harsh. Watch Natsuko Hirose struggle to balance her work obligations with her personal life in this MAPPA-created rom-com streaming on Crunchyroll starting Jan. 5 at 9:15 a.m. PT.

If you’ve read Ayano Takeda’s manga, the anime adaptation of Flower and Asura may pique your interest. Kana lives on the tiny island of Tonakijima where she loves reading to little kids. Enamored with her skills, Mizuki invites her to join the school’s broadcast club. Judge the TV version for yourself when it airs in Japan on Jan. 7 and streams on HiDive this month.
