Bengals’ Joe Burrow hits Chase Brown with TD pass vs. Titans

First, Joe Burrow evaded one tackle. Then he sidestepped another defender.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback turned all of that extra time to pick out running back Chase Brown for a 6-yard touchdown pass against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Titans rookie defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat had the first crack at Burrow. But Burrow wriggled away from that tackle, scrambled loose and then made defensive end Ali Gaye miss before Burrow found Chase in the end zone.

According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Burrow had 9.01 seconds to throw and scrambled 24.5 yards before firing the ball in Brown’s direction.

It was a good bounce-back drive for Burrow after a shaky start. Following an interception that ended Cincinnati’s opening possession, he found tight Mike Gesicki on third-and-7 to extend the next drive, which was capped by the strike to the Cincinnati running back.
