English Premier League powerhouses and German sportswear manufacturer PUMA have extended their partnership for what’s reported to be an eye-watering amount.

The deal was announced on Tuesday, July 15, and while neither side’s press release mentioned the length or monetary amount, the BBC reported that the deal was for 10 years and worth a minimum of £1 billion ($1.34 billion USD).

Those numbers would make it the most valuable kit deal in the Premier League, surpassing the £90 million-per-year deal City’s crosstown rivals, Manchester United, signed with adidas in 2023.

“We joined forces with PUMA with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond the expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons. PUMA have seamlessly integrated into our organisation, and we’ve enjoyed many historic moments together, engaging fans globally. Today’s renewal and extension solidifies our relationship and projects it to an even brighter future.”

— Ferran Soriano, chief executive officer, City Football Group

PUMA has supplied Manchester City’s kits since the 2019-20 season. Since then, City’s men’s first team has won four Premier League titles, including in 2022-23 when they also won the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League. Their women’s team has also won an FA Cup and a League Cup.

Over that time, PUMA and City have also set new global sales records and innovative product and marketing campaigns. This includes the first-ever kit launch in Roblox in 2022.

“PUMA’s partnership with Manchester City has been a great success both on and off the pitch. Trophies, a perfect stage for our performance products and commercial success were exceptional.”

— Arthur Hoeld, chief executive officer, PUMA

Prior to signing with PUMA, Manchester City was outfitted by Nike from 2013 to 2019.

PUMA also supplies kit to other City Football Group clubs, including Melbourne City FC (Australia), Girona (Spain), Lommel (Belgium), Mumbai City FC (India), Montevideo City Torque (Uruguay), Palermo (Italy), Bahia (Brazil) and ESTAC Troyes (France). The kit deal extension announced on Tuesday only applies to Manchester City, though.

Manchester City’s men’s team kicks off their 2025-26 Premier League season on Saturday, August 16, when they visit Wolverhampton Wanderers. The schedule for the FA Women’s Super League has not yet been announced.
