Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Tuesday to alleviate pain and swelling, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Wednesday.
Alexander could make it back for the Super Bowl if the Packers made it that far, the source told Schefter.
Alexander sustained a torn PCL in his right knee on Oct. 28 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He returned for a Nov. 17 game at the Chicago Bears but managed to play only 10 snaps before dropping out. He hasn’t played since.
In seven games this season, the two-time Pro Bowl selection has two interceptions, including a pick-six.
