The Boston Bruins officially unveiled their new home and road uniforms this afternoon, set to be worn beginning with the 2025–26 NHL season. While the design introduces a few new elements, it draws *heavily* from the team’s classic looks of the 1980s and 1990s.

Both uniforms were developed in collaboration with Fanatics and the National Hockey League. The set features updated striping on the sleeves and socks, gold detailing on the gloves, and the new serifed team wordmark introduced last season on the pants. The inside hem loop label, a new feature on the Fanatics NHL jerseys, reads “BOSTON” on the home set and “BRUINS” on the road.

“Next season marks the start of a new chapter in Boston Bruins history; And as we turn the page, we are excited [to] do so with a new look and feel,” said Bruins President Cam Neely in the press release. “Combining some fan-favourite elements from the past with a refreshed style, these sweaters are going to look sharp on TD Garden ice in the Fall.”

A redesigned shoulder patch appears only on the left side of each sweater and includes a new crawling bear silhouette inspired by the original Boston Bruins logo from 1924with “BRUINS” written beneath on the home set and “BOSTON” on the road, continuing the home/road shoulder tradition (which I love) first introduced in 2007.

The uniforms also mark the return of a two-logo system for home and road games. The Bruins’ updated Spoked-B logoalready unveiled earlier this week, is used in two variations depending on the jersey colour. The home black set features a gold “B” and circle with black spokes, while the road white uses a black “B” and circle with gold spokes. The Bruins previously used a dual-logo setup from the late 1940s through the mid-1990s.

The new Spoked-B combines the spoke and circle design from the team’s 1949–95 crest with the varsity-style “B” first introduced in 2007. This new Spoked-B lockup had been used throughout the Bruins’ centennial season in 2023–24 and now returns in full-time use, replacing the 2007 design after 17 seasons.

Rapid7’s logo continues as the official jersey patch on the right chest, the team announced TD Bank will remain as the helmet sponsor as part of a deal that will run through the 2044-45(!) season. So much for that whole “helmet ads are just until we get through COVID” thing the NHL said five years ago.

You may recall the Bruins wore a similar uniform design during their Centennial Game last season on December 1, 2024, against the Montreal Canadiens. This new set has far less gold on the sleeves, includes a new gold collar, and, of course, the new bear shoulder patch.

Boston is the third NHL team to unveil new uniforms this offseason, following similar releases from the St. Louis Blues and Utah Mammoth. There are still a few more to come, including the oft-leaked red Ottawa Senators third jersey and a rumoured Edmonton Oilers alternate.
