Canadian Premier League side Valour FC are hoping to kick off a new era in their club history with their new primary and alternate kits for 2025.

The Winnipeg-based club unveiled the kits, made by Macron, on their website and social media channels on Thursday, March 13. And, for the first time in the team’s history, their primary kit doesn’t prominently feature maroon.

Instead, the kit has black and gold vertical stripes down the front and black raglan sleeves. The only maroon is alongside gold in the sleeve cuffs and V-neck collar.

The gold, representing the golden hue of the Prairies from expansive wheat fields stretching as far as the eye can see, hence its name — wheat gold. And representing the rich black soil from which the golden wheat grows, the colour, earth black.

Meanwhile, Valour FC’s alternate kit features a white base that fades first to gold then to maroon down the front of the shirt. The colours are inspired by sunsets on the Prairies. The sleeve cuffs are maroon, while the crew neck collar is white.

Valour FC opens their 2025 CanPL regular season on Saturday, April 5, when they travel to Vancouver Island to take on Pacific FC. Their home opener at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg takes place on Friday, April 25, against HFX Wanderers FC.
