A busy week for 2025-26 NHL uniform leaks continued with a good look at the new home Boston Bruins jersey, thanks to a well-intended but ultimately revealing video posted by the CBC.

The video, which discussed the potential effects of tariffs on the manufacturing of NHL jerseysshowed a few jerseys being stitched together at SP Apparel in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. Those producing the video likely didn’t realize that one of those jerseys shown was a still unreleased Boston Bruins home sweater. A hearty stick tap to CBC for that accidental revelation.

At first glance, the black Bruins jersey looks like a direct copy of what they wore in the 1980s or perhaps what they wore in their Centennial Game back in December. In fact, it’s a combination of the two, with at least one new feature added to it.

On the chest is indeed the same logo the Bruins wore in December. That logo features a serif “B”, similar to what has been in use since 2007placed within the spoked wheel that was used previously from 1949 to 1995. The sleeve striping is yellow/white/yellow, but does not extend to the wrist, making that element the same as the club wore in the 1980s. There is no colour around the neck, another departure from the December jersey, which had yellow on the collar.

A new feature for this jersey is a patch we can briefly spot on the left shoulder. It’s hard to tell what exactly this logo is, but it appears to be a black silhouette of the Bruins’ classic walking bear logo from the 1920s trimmed in yellow with “BRUINS” inside it in white.

Despite those changes, the overall feel for fans will be a throwback to the Bruins of the 1970s and 1980s, worn by the likes of Ray Bourque, Phil Espositoand yes, the man who would ultimately be calling the shots behind the design of this jersey, team president Cam Neely. The most significant element fans will likely miss from that original set is the yellow bear head shoulder patchwhich was retired by the Bruins in 1995.

Any new uniform for the Bruins likely won’t be released until closer to the 2025 NHL Draft, which isn’t scheduled until June 27th, so it could be a while before we see anything official regarding this design.
