
Pakistan wrapped up for 91 in first T20 against New Zealand

CHRISTCHURCH: Pakistan were foiled for a mere 91 against New Zealand in the first T20 of the five match series played at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
Pakistan batter looked clueless against the New Zealand seamers and were restricted to 14-4 in the powerplay. Afterwards Salman Ali Agha and Khushdil Shah formed a small partnership but it was broken when Agha got out to Ish Sodhi after scoring 18.
Khushdil was the highest scorer from Pakistan with 32 runs off 30 deliveries.
For New Zealand Jacob Duffy starred with four wickets while Kyle Jamieson claimed three scalps. Ish Sodhi got two while skipper Bracewell got one wicket.
Earlier, New Zealand had won the toss and elected to field first.
Pakistan’s squad includes three uncapped players – Abdul Samad, Hasan Nawaz and Mohammad Ali – who earned call-ups to the national side following their impressive performances in recent domestic events.
Opening batter Hasan Nawaz is making his international debut was dismissed not a duck. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris was also dismissed without scoring.
