Ozzy Osbourne just revealed that his wife, Sharon Osbourne was the one who convinced him to perform for one last time.

During an interview with The Guardian, the couple talked about Black Sabbath’s gig at their final reunion concert, Back to the Beginning.

The iconic 76-year-old rocker, who is nicknamed as the Prince of Darkness, admitted that the show was in fact his wife’s idea because it was “something to give me a reason to get up in the morning.”

“You wake up the next morning and find that something else has gone wrong,” Ozzy, who has been suffering from health issues due to injuries to his neck and back, stated.

“You begin to think this is never going to end,” the War Pigs singer mentioned, adding, “I’ll be there, and I’ll do the best I can. So, all I can do is turn up.”

In February, it was Sharon who told The Sun that her husband had lost the ability to walk because of Parkinson’s Disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2003.

However, speaking of his return to the stage for a final Black Sabbath reunion, she stated, “He’s very happy to be coming back and very emotional about this.”

Sharon further explained, “Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It’s not something you can stabilize. It affects different parts of the body and it’s affected his legs. But his voice is as good as it’s ever been.”

Additionally, during his Ozzy Speaks segment on SiriusXM channel Ozzy’s Boneyardthe legendary rock star revealed that he does not plan on doing a full set with his band.

“I’m not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath but I am doing little bits and pieces with them. I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable,” he stated at that time of his Back to the Beginning performance.

It is pertinent to mention that the Back to the Beginning performance is scheduled to be held on July 5, 2025, in Birmingham’s Villa Park.
