Sources – Hollywood Brown returning to Chiefs on 1-year deal
Free agent WR Hollywood Brown is returning to the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year deal worth up to $11 million, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Brown, 27, joined the Chiefs as a free agent in 2024, but he never developed into the threat the team had hoped for after suffering a sternoclavicular injury while making a catch on the first play of the preseason.
After having surgery, Brown returned to play in two regular-season games. He had nine catches for 91 yards. He also played in all three of the Chiefs’ postseason games with five catches for 50 yards.
Brown, because of injuries, hasn’t played a full season since 2021, when he was with the Baltimore Ravens. He set career highs that season for catches (91) and yards (1,008).
Brown was a first-round draft pick of the Ravens in 2019. He spent three seasons with the Ravens before being traded to the Arizona Cardinals.
He played two seasons in Arizona, and he caught 67 passes for 709 yards in 2022.
He has 322 catches for 3,735 yards and 28 touchdowns in six NFL seasons.
