The WNBA’s Dallas Wings will celebrate their 10th season in Texas this spring with a commemorative logo, which was unveiled on Tuesday afternoon.

Founded as the Detroit Shock in 1998the franchise won league titles in 2003, 2006 and 2008 before relocating to Tulsa, Oklahoma, ahead of the 2010 season.

The Shock made the playoffs just once in six seasons in Tulsathen moved to the Dallas-Forth Worth metroplex in 2016 as owner Bill Cameron sought a larger media market.

The franchise subsequently rebranded to the Dallas Wings and announced they would play at the College Park Center on the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington.

Their logo features a mythical winged horseknown as a Pegasus, as a nod to the neon sign that first graced the tallest building in the Dallas skyline in 1934 and now sits in front of the Omni Hotel.

One of the wings can be seen in their 10th season logo, which also features a neon green, navy blue and light blue color scheme that was inspired by the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks.

The Wings, who have the No. 1 pick in April’s WNBA Draft, open the 2025 season against the defending Western Conference champion Minnesota Lynx on May 16.
